Rainy days are for snuggling into the couch with a good snack and Netflix lineup. There are only a handful of things that can get me off the couch when it's raining, the first and most important of which is running out of wine. A close second is shopping.
Denver has been teasing us with spring, so this chilly rainy day we had last week was no surprise. But with a Hawaii honeymoon coming up the first week of may, shopping needed to be done. So we braved the drizzle and made it out.
Something about a beach vacay means you suddenly need everything that is light, flowy, bright, or tropical. Latte in hand, I proceeded to buy any piece with a remotely beachy feel. A tried and true rule is that you shouldn't go grocery shopping while hungry, turns out I found something more dangerous for my bank account: shopping for a beach wardrobe while it's raining. Bright and cheery pieces seem more necessary when it's wet and gloomy out.
Now, about this outfit
The sad news is this shirt is sold out. It makes sense. I mean, the fabric is super soft and comfy, the pattern is a classic but in gray, and it's under $20. The good news is that when I checked a couple days ago, there were still some available in-store at H&M.
If you have no luck finding one (or would rather shop online) here's some other options. If you like the muted gray look and price is not an issue, go with this top. If you like grey, but want a chunk-ier gingham print, then this one is your go to. If you're a fan of ruffles and an under $40 price point, then this top is the one for you.
Now on to these boots...Sorry to disappoint, but they've been discontinued. Good news is, there are so many ADORABLE floral rainboots, so you've still got plenty of options. First up, we've got these floral print boots by Western Chief that are under $50.

Looking for rain booties? Try these Chooka ankle boots in gray or these Joules ankle boots in navy. If you need a mid-calf option, I LOVE these florentina print boots and these ones are also pretty cute.
Last up, we've got my go-to grey leggings, which are actually in stock! They're seriously so comfy and I love that they're high-waisted.
