breakfast nook makeover

For part 2 of the breakfast makeover, I focused on the space — adding texture and pops of color.

wallpaper

The wallpaper is temporary peel & stick — I went with a small print with a white background and yellow flowers to add a subtle pop of color. This print is the ditsy floral print from Tempaper.

the door

I painted the door grey to add some dimension and depth to the space. I made sure to sand + prime to eliminate scratching. I used graceful grey by behr, which is the same color that I used on the trim in my coffee bar. This helps pull the color through the space and make it feel cohesive.

curtains

The trick to these curtains is using pleat hooks to create pleats. I love these panels from Ikea (the ikea ritva 118′) because they’re an amazing texture, great creamy color and super affordable. I installed this gold curtain rod with acrylic finials which I’m in love with. I used some gold curtain rings from target to hang them.

round rug

I swapped the rectangle rug for a round one to visually create more flow in the space. Plus, I went with a rug from ruggable, which is machine washable. Perfect for easy cleanup after inevitable food messes in this space. This grey ombre rug ties in the grey from the trim and the creamy colors from the wallpaper and the curtains.
