MURAL WALLPAPER

The design plan has changed drastically since I showed you the bedroom design moodboard — I had a bold teal floral wallpaper picked out, but it was going to take FOREVER to arrive since it was shipping from the UK.

So I pivoted and decided to install this wall mural from anthropologie — which was super affordable and SO easy to install. It’s pre-pasted paper so you just have to spray it with water to activate the glue (my hack is using a garden sprayer for quick and even coverage).

BEIGE & WHITE MARBLE CHECK FLOOR

My dreams of removing the vinyl flooring to find beautiful old wood floors came crashing down when we found a patched & damaged floor under the subfloor. I eventually want to put the money into restoring it, but for now I needed a functional and affordable fix — so I installed some peel & stick marble tiles in a checkerboard pattern for a fresh look.

BURNT ORANGE ACCENT CEILING + CROWN MOULDING

I added some trim work to the ceiling in this bedroom to fit the modern victorian vibe we’re going for in this house. I used my favorite ever trim hack for installing crown moulding with NO angled cuts — yes, crown moulding can really be that easy!
