We transformed this awkward bedroom nook into a home office workspace by adding color, fluted texture, built-ins and some amazing decor pieces. This diy small home office makeover took less than 2 days and is part of the space we transformed for our friend Kelsey after a burst pipe caused her ceiling to collapse.

We painted the inside of the arch blue to match the trim accent wall we installed on the opposite side of the room. This helped define the nook space and give it a more clear shape since it felt like it was running straight into the wall on the left side.
We also added some fluted texture to the back using our signature favorite — pole wrap. This paneling is actually made to wrap around basement poles to give them a column texture, but Jessie and I had the genius idea to start using it as paneling for our walls + furniture pieces and it saves SO much time cutting a million little trim pieces.
This nook is now a gorgeous + functional work from home office space filled with personality, color, and texture. We sourced the furniture + decor from Home Depot and everything is linked below.
