Fall has been amazing this year in Denver, from chilly but not freezing weather, to amazing fall trees. Since it's been so mild, I haven't had to do a lot of layering. I can usually get away with some comfy denim and a long sleeve top to stay toasty. This is my go-to fall casual outfit so far. It includes my favorite fall colors this season: burgundy and white/cream.
I combined my burgundy skinnies (H&M) with my favorite lacy top. I picked burgundy denim because it wanted something that would coordinate with the red accent in the scarf, but not feel too matchy. I bought the top maybe two years ago, and I honestly couldn't tell you where I got it (but I did find some similar ones! Linked below).
I love it because its super comfy, but the lace makes it look a little more elegant and dressy. It's also completely lace, so its super fun to layer. I can add colored tanks or tees underneath for a pop of color. For this outfit, I wanted a more subtle look so I layered it over a white tank.
Every great fall casual look needs a scarf, so I added my Burberry heart-print checked scarf. This is my favorite ever Burberry pattern because it's such a fun twist on the classic check. I like a classic scarf for this outfit as opposed to blanket scarf (which, I am pretty obsessed with this season), because it has a sleeker feel and shows off the lace a little better.
Bootie-wise I went with a rustic-style ankle strap bootie to add some more texture. (P.S. You can see my ultimate bootie guide here).
For accessories, I kept it simple, with my everyday rings and my favorite bangle combo, which includes a thin hammered silver cuff, a wooden bracelet, and a leather bangle with big sparkle accents. They tie in the brown tones from the boots and scarf, and also carry the metallic accents through from the boots.
