I'm sharing a highly-requested look: a biz casual outfit that isn't boring...which is a must when it comes to talking about business casual outfits for women that are professional but still fun. Get excited.
BORE-LESS BIZ CASUAL
IT'S HERE! I'VE HAD MULTIPLE REQUESTS FROM YOU ALL FOR A BUSINESS CASUAL LOOK THAT ISN'T BORING.
My top two tips for building a biz casual look without the bore are: business casual outfits for women
1. DON'T SHY AWAY FROM BRIGHT COLORS
Bright colors give your look personality. Adding a little bit of flashy-ness with bright colors is the best way to keep your look fun and interesting.
PRO TIP: Add bold pops of color, but balance them with a couple classic biz-neutrals like grey, navy, and black accents or pieces.
2. MIX PATTERNS & PRINTS LIKE YOU MEAN IT
If you're a newbie to creating a pattern cocktail, here's the scoop: pick a dominant pattern, then an accent pattern that compliments it. If you want to go bolder with your prints, look for patterns that are larger in scale (i.e. the giant polka dots I'm rocking) or brighter in color.
PRO TIP: Check out this post for my full guide to mixing patterns
My pattern cocktail includes mixing this fun polka dot tee with a checked long blazer. My pop of bright color comes from these super comfy bright red treggings (trouser-leggings). Accessory-wise I went with a layered necklace combo in gold. I love this necklace pack from H&M because they are actually separate necklaces instead of some multi-strand monstrosity that is tangled 99% of the time.
You can snag all the H&M pieces included in this outfit for under $75.
