Nothing says "Let's celebrate America" quite like drinking beer and playing with explosives. If you haven't decided how you'll be sporting the red, white, and blue this Tuesday, here's a fun outfit idea to give you a little inspo. I've also linked some more of my favorite picks for putting together a super cute 4th of July outfit.
This popsicle wristlet is from Charming Charlie and not available online anymore, but they also have a couple super cute American flag wristlets here and here. If you're set on the popsicle theme, you can get the popsicle print cross-body here.
This top is from H&M, and it's currently on sale! I love that the thin straps keep things light for the likely hot weather. It has a smocked fitted waist and the lower section is gently flared to add or accentuate shape. There's a sheer overlay to add movement and interest, but it's jersey lined and super soft. I'm also a huge fan of the raw edges, especially at the neckline.
My 4th of July look would never be complete without a pop of red lipstick. This one is the blu-red shade by Lipsense, and stays all day so I can go all in on the burgers and popsicles. Here are some of my other favorite picks for a red top:
I went with white as an accent color via my bandana, my sandals, and the popsicle wristlet. I love this bandana because it has the classic red, white and blue, but also a pop of coral. The red is also a deep burgandy hue instead of the usual bright red, so its perfect for adding a pop of patriotism without going all in.
These sandals have a floral cut-out design that feels a little like lace. I really love the shape, and actually initially bought them for my Hawaii wedding trip. White is also a perfect option for a top if red isn't your color, or you're just really looking to stay cool. Here are some of my picks for accessories to wear as pops of white & white tops:
Denim is the obvious way to style blue for the 4th. I went with some classic blue denim for this look, but with a fun bleached star print to keep it festive. I actually found these jeans on super sale and can't find them anywhere to link, but some similar pairs are here, here, and here. I actually like some of these alternatives better because some of them are more distressed / a crop pant so they will be better for staying cool.
You can shop the options below, plus some similarly styled shorts & overalls if you're going to be some place pretty hot:
