trend talk

arched doorways

Arched doorways are trending for 2021 and I LOVE this trend because it adds so much personality and architectural interest to a space. I totally recommend researching this trend on pinterest to see if it’s a fit for your space.

You can transform any open doorway into an arched doorway using plywood cut into an arch and then adding drywall. If you want an easier method, you could opt for a trimmed arched doorway using corbels.

I came up with this hack for my coffee bar because I wanted to add an arch without taking time to cut and drywall a perfect curve. If you want to try my trim hack for an arched doorway, hop over here: modern door trim: diy doorway trim with crown moulding + add arches using corbels!
